After-hour Emergency Clinic Referrals

If your pet becomes ill or is injured outside of our office hours, the Vanderhoof Veterinary Hospital recommends that you take your pet to one of the following local emergency hospitals. You should call the hospital to let them know you are coming and relate the nature of your pet's problem. The emergency hospital may have specific advice that could help your pet before even arriving at the hospital.

Our pet bird and exotic animal clients may find it difficult to locate a veterinarian who will treat their pets. Always call before coming to ask if the veterinarian on duty feels comfortable treating your pet! You don't want to drive to a clinic and then discover that your pet cannot be treated there. The following hospitals are ones which often, not always, have a veterinarian who will treat a bird, reptile, or small fuzzie.
